The smartPanel Mount Package for Apple iPad Mini 6th Gen / A17 Pro gives you everything needed to securely mount, power, and cool your iPad Mini while adding a convenient USB-C charging port to your aircraft panel.
The flush-mounted design integrates your existing iPad Mini directly into the instrument panel for a clean, professional appearance and easy viewing in the cockpit. Once installed, the spring-actuated mount allows your iPad to be docked in seconds, securely held in place during flight, and quickly removed when needed.
What sets this package apart is the included smartPower 252-101 Dual USB-C Power Supply. The rear USB-C port provides concealed power to the iPad mount behind the panel, eliminating the need for a visible charging cable running across the cockpit. At the same time, the front USB-C port remains available for the pilot or copilot to charge another compatible device.
That means one compact installation gives you dedicated power for your mounted iPad plus an additional panel-mounted USB-C charging port for a phone, tablet, GPS, or other compatible cockpit device.

The smartPanel Mount for iPad Mini was designed for the unique environment of the cockpit. Its spring-actuated mounting cradle securely holds the iPad in place during flight while still allowing it to be installed or removed in seconds.
The clean, flush-mounted design has a shallow chassis that allows it to be incorporated into a wide variety of new and existing instrument panels. The iPad can be mounted horizontally or vertically depending on your available panel space and preferred cockpit layout.
With the iPad integrated directly into the panel, charts and approach plates remain within easy sight, and the iPad Mini can serve as a compact cockpit display with many popular iOS aviation applications.

The included smartPower 252-101 combines two useful charging connections into one compact panel-mounted power supply.
The rear USB-C port can provide concealed power directly to the smartPanel Mount and iPad Mini.
The front USB-C port remains accessible from the cockpit for charging another compatible device, giving the pilot or copilot convenient access to USB-C power without disconnecting the iPad.
Designed for both 12V and 24V aircraft electrical systems, the smartPower 252-101 accepts 10–32 VDC input and provides USB-C power delivery for modern cockpit electronics. It also features EMI filtering, reverse-polarity protection, and a green internally illuminated front USB-C port for improved nighttime visibility.
smartPower 252-101 is currently for Experimental Aircraft only. FAA certification is pending.
Keep Your iPad Cool
Running navigation, charts, weather, GPS, and other aviation applications for extended periods can generate significant heat.
The included cooling fan circulates air through the smartPanel Mount's built-in cooling channels behind the iPad, helping manage heat during prolonged cockpit use.
Choose the appropriate 12/14V or 24/28V cooling fan for your aircraft electrical system.
Simple Installation
The smartPanel Mount is designed for straightforward installation into a new or existing instrument panel. Each durable molded ABS plastic mount is self-contained and installs using four screws.
Guardian Avionics installation drawings provide the exact panel cutout dimensions and screw positions for accurate installation and are available in PDF and CAD formats.
The smartPower 252-101 installs through a compact round panel opening. Its rear USB-C connection allows the included cable to remain concealed behind the panel and connect directly to the iPad mount, while the front USB-C port remains accessible from the cockpit.
Together, the mount, power supply, cable, and cooling fan provide a complete solution for integrating your iPad Mini into the aircraft panel without having to piece together the major components separately.

Guardian Avionics products are covered by a 60-day money-back guarantee and a one-year limited warranty.
Coverage
Guardian Avionics (CO Guardian LLC) warrants to the original purchaser that this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. Coverage is registered automatically; retain your invoice as proof of purchase date.
Should a defect arise within the warranty period, Guardian Avionics will, at its sole discretion, repair the unit, replace it, or furnish a repaired unit. This is the purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty. Any repaired or replacement unit is warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or for six (6) months, whichever is longer. No charge applies other than return postage.
This warranty extends to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.
Exclusions
This warranty does not apply where the unit has been:
- opened, modified, or otherwise tampered with;
- damaged by accident, unreasonable use, or neglect; or
- affected by installation or soldering errors, for which Guardian Avionics accepts no responsibility.
Nor does it extend to any failure arising from a cause other than a defect in material or workmanship.

All implied warranties, including the implied warranties of description, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the warranty period stated above.
Guardian Avionics shall not be liable for loss of use, or for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, costs, or expenses incurred by any user of this product, whether such claim arises in contract, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise — including any personal injury or property damage arising from the use of, or the inability to use, this product.
Certain states do not permit limitations on the duration of an implied warranty, or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages; accordingly, portions of the foregoing may not apply. This warranty confers specific legal rights, and the purchaser may hold additional rights that vary by jurisdiction.
Claim Procedure
- Verify that the serial number on the unit matches the number shown on your invoice.
- Request a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number using the online form at guardianavionics.com/pages/rma-request, or by telephone on 520-889-1177 or email to support@guardianavionics.com. An RMA number must be issued before any unit is returned. Units purchased through a dealer should be submitted to Guardian Avionics directly.
- Return the unit postage prepaid to the address below, marked with the RMA number and accompanied by proof of purchase date and a description of the fault.
